The Urban League of Louisiana has partnered with the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LADOTD) to provide training, counseling, and other contractor support services to DBE firms based in the Bridge City/New Orleans and Hammond districts (Region B) who are seeking to compete on LADOTD projects.
ULLA is committed to ensuring that DBE firms have the education, support, and resources needed to compete and win bid opportunities with the LADOTD. Training programs are focused on innovative approaches to project management, competitive bidding, operational efficiency, and capacity-building. 

DBE Needs Assessment Survey | How Can We Help?

In order to achieve the goals of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Supportive Services Program (DBE/SS), the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Urban League of Louisiana are seeking to determine the needs and service offerings that will increase the participation of DBE firms in its contracts.

The results of the
DBE Needs Assessment Survey will be used as the basis for developing the annual DBE/SS Program that will help DBE firms participate, grow, diversify, and build capacity to successfully compete in the highway industry as consultants, contractors, service providers and suppliers.

Women’s Business Enterprise Council – South

WBEC South facilitates the nationally recognized and most relied upon certification program, WBENC Certification, for the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and the Florida Panhandle. The organization is committee to connecting women-owned businesses with major corporations to facilitate business opportunities. Their mission is to advance and enhance business opportunities between corporations and women-owned businesses through a reputable certification program, education and professional growth opportunities.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) – Louisiana

The Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (LA PTAC) provides specialized and professional procurement technical assistance to Louisiana businesses who are actively seeking and/or performing on contracts and subcontracts with the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal, state and local governments.

Southern Region Minority Supplier Development Council

The Southern Region Minority Supplier Development Council assists major corporations with developing, enhancing their small business utilization programs with an emphasis on ethnic minority lead and operated businesses (MBEs). The organization provides minority-owned businesses with access to corporate contracting opportunities and is the only certifying agency for the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification.
