The Urban League of Louisiana's 2026 Empowerment & Policy Conference -- Declaration: Equity, Innovation & Black Futures is a statewide convening of leaders, advocates, innovators, policymakers, entreprenuers, and community voices committed to building a Louisiana where Black people and communities have the opportunity, resources and power to thrive. Grounded in the theme, From Policy to Promise to Power, Declaration, moves beyond conversation to examine the policies, investments, innnovations, and partnerships required to advance economic opportunity, protect civil rights, strengthen communities and shape a more equitable future for Louisiana. Through dynamic main-stage conversations, thought-provoking panels, and opportunities for connection and action, the conference will explore four interconnected pathways to progress: The Right To Live Well & Thrive; The Right To Earn, Own & Prosper; The Right To Participate & Be Protected; and The Right To Tell Our Story & Advocate. Together, these conversations will confront the barriers that continue to limit opportunity while elevating solutions capable of producing measurable and lasting change.
