Education advocates, parents, students, educators, Louisiana residents who care about education equity – this conversation is for you! The Louisiana Department of Education is in the process of receiving public comment on new Louisiana Social Studies Standards. This virtual conversation will help you make sense of the new standards, understand why they are important, and help you prepare to offer your own public comment. What do the standards mean for our students? Why do we keep hearing about Critical Race Theory in relation to the new standards? There is a lot to unpack – so don’t miss it!
