P.R.I.D.E. PARENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

PIC provides opportunities for parents and guardians to expand their knowledge and involvement in the community through the Parents Ready to be Involved to Deliver Excellence (PRIDE) Leadership Academy.

 The PRIDE Leadership Academy offers a series of courses for parents. It offers participants an opportunity to learn the current challenges in education, to enhance and develop advocacy skills, network with other education stakeholders, and develop a network of community leaders willing to advocate on behalf of ALL students in their community. Believing that parents armed with information and advocacy skills is critical to the success of children and the educational system, the training,  provides knowledge, resources and a network to act in support of sustaining education options and policies that promote accountability, quality, equity, transparency and access.
