  • Register for 2021 STRIVE Core Training Cohort 4

    Urban League’s STRIVE CORE Training is an attitudinal and workplace readiness course designed to change an individual’s attitude towards authority, culture, and peers, enabling them to succeed in further skills training or education programs as well as the workplace. The training is conducted in a work-simulated fashion over a four-week period, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p. m. Upon successful completion and contingent upon the availability of funding, individuals are connected to Urban League’s Career Pathways Program to further equip them for success with in-demand industry-based skills training that will lead to an industry recognized credential.   • Resilient Restart EBR Info Session

    Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and the City of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish recognize the challenges that local businesses are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To meet the short-term financial needs of microenterprises and small businesses, the Resilient Restart EBR: Small Business Micro-grants Program offers one-time, micro-grants of $2,500 to eligible entities that have been impacted by COVID-19. Recipients may use these funds for rent, utilities, inventory, accounts payable, fixed costs, employee wages and benefits.     2021 PRIDE Virtual Leadership Academy Begins (Register Now)

    The Urban League of Louisiana's Parent Information Center believes that all students have the right to a quality and equitable education and that parents have the most authentic voice to challenge inequities through engagement and organized advocacy efforts. The PRIDE Leadership Academy offers participants an opportunity to learn current education policies and challenges in New Orleans, develop and enhance advocacy skills, develop and execute an advocacy project with the guidance of mentors and Urban League staff. The Academy will consist of 12 weekly training sessions (via Zoom) starting May 20. Sessions will take place from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. To register, click here.
