DESCRIPTION:The Urban League of Louisiana’s Parent Information Center believes that all students have the right to a quality and equitable education and that parents have the most authentic voice to challenge inequities through engagement and organized advocacy efforts. \n\nThe PRIDE Leadership Academy offers participants an opportunity to learn current education policies and challenges in New Orleans\, develop and enhance advocacy skills\, develop and execute an advocacy project with the guidance of mentors and Urban League staff. \nThe Academy will consist of 12 weekly training sessions (via Zoom) starting May 20.
