The Urban League of Louisiana (ULLA) recently received a bulk donation of 4,500 N95 and surgical masks from the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the Mary Freeman Wisdom Foundation. The masks will be distributed to people who need them the most, including frontline workers and those who are cannot easily access face coverings.

“The importance of protecting ourselves and others is vital now more than ever as the state continues to phase its reopening,” said Judy Reese Morse, President and CEO of the Urban League of Louisiana. “We are so grateful to the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the Mary Freeman Wisdom Foundation for their generosity and leadership.”

The Urban League of Louisiana is conducting an “ULLA Masks Up” initiative to encourage Louisiana residents to wear face masks in public. As part of their “Maskie Challenge”, ULLA is asking residents across the state to post their masked-selfies to social media platforms using the hashtag #ULLAMasksUp. One lucky winner will receive a custom, blinged-out mask. Participants can follow Urban League of Louisiana on all social media platforms for additional information and visit www.urbanleaguela.org/ulla-masks-up/
