On Thursday, March 5th, New Orleans education advocates Education Reform Now, New Schools New Orleans, Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools, Urban League of Louisiana and the Alliance for Diversity and Excellence are hosting a media event focused on the variety of career pathways available to scholars in New Orleans public schools at The New Orleans Advocate, 840 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130 from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
“Opening the Door to Quality Careers” will be an event for elected officials, advocates, community members, journalists, and other stakeholders to listen to how New Orleans public education system has been responsive to the needs of students and families by transitioning away from a strictly college prep model to expanding access to a variety of post-secondary pathways, both for college and career opportunities. Join us to learn more about post-secondary pathways available to New Orleans high school students and how these pathways are allowing students to have opportunities and experiences like never before.
