For Immediate Release: (New Orleans) March 11, 2019 – Today, the Urban League of Louisiana announces the four finalists that will compete in its 2019 Women-In-Business (WIB) Challenge, as well as the event’s keynote speaker, super model, entrepreneur and reality TV star, Cynthia Bailey. Ms. Bailey is the owner of The Bailey Agency School of Fashion, Cynthia Bailey Eyewear, CB Vior and CB Candles. She is also one of the star’s of the Bravo TV network’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The WIB Challenge provides female entrepreneurs with the education, tools, and resources needed to scale their businesses towards profitability and sustainability. For nine weeks, ten semi-finalists participated in a comprehensive business education program, received technical assistance and counseling services, and were introduced to various resources to support their growth plans. The WIB Pitch Challenge will be held during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (www.noew.org), presented by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and produced by the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and The Idea Village. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the New Orleans Jazz Market, 1436 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70113, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  
 
During the event, an esteemed panel of judges will select the winner based on the effectiveness of the pitch presentation, scalability of the business model, and proposed use of award funds. Ms. Bailey will provide a motivational keynote address to the audience prior to the announcement of the 2019 WIB Challenge winner.  
 
This is the 8th year that the Urban League of Louisiana’s Women’s Business Resource Center has hosted the Women-In-Business Challenge impacting more than 70 female entrepreneurs since its inception. Through this program both winners and finalists have gone on to successfully grow their businesses in the Greater New Orleans Area.
